Princeville Makai Golf Course
This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three
eighteen hole combinations. The Ocean Course has a hole that requires
a shot over the ocean. The Lake Course has two lakes that come into
play on three holes. The Woods Course has a lake that comes into
play on one hole. Hole #8, a 196-yard, par 3, is the most interesting
hole on this course. "Golf Digest" rated the Ocean/Lake
Course as the 8th "Best Public Course" in the state for
1995-96, and 6th in 1997-98. The same publication ranked it 48th
among the "Top Resort Courses" for 1992. Golfers may walk
the course, however, green fees include a power cart and there is
no discount for those wishing to walk. The men's and ladies' tees
for each combination are rated for both men and ladies.
