The
Kapalua resort is 1,650 acres of peaceful seclusion and refined pleasures
along three miles of shoreline on the northwestern tip of the Hawaiian
island of Maui. It is surrounded by natural boundaries of ocean and
mountains, all on 23,000 acres of land owned by Kapaluaþs parent
company, Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. It is set amidst a
23,000 acre pinapple plantation operated by Maui Pineapple Company,
Ltd. The resort is 10 miles north of the historic Lahaina Town on the
scenic northwest coast of Maui.
While the land has been nurtured and preserved for generations, Kapalua has evolved into one of the worldþs most desirable resort destinations. Its golf courses have repeatedly won awards for excellence, as have its tennis facilities, hotel accommodations, real estate projects and restaurants. Even its beach at Kapalua Bay has been honored as one of Americaþs best in a study conducted by the University of Marylandþs Laboratory of Coastal Research.
